Use the Interpret tab for long-form listening at seminars, conferences, and meetings. Use the Chat tab for 1:1 conversations, travel, and everyday dialogue with live translation and AI-suggested replies. You only need a smartphone or tablet — no extra hardware.

Open the Interpret tab, choose your language pair, and tap Start. With continuous listening enabled, Butterbun keeps translating through extended presentations and meetings. Source and translation appear side by side. When you finish, you can save the session with a title.

In the Chat tab, listen in your partner's language or type directly. What they say is translated on screen, and Butterbun suggests context-appropriate replies. Send a line as text or play it with TTS. An internet connection is required.

When you end an interpret or chat session, you can choose to save it and add a title. In the History tab, search by title, language, or content to reopen past sessions, review source and translation together, or share them.

Butterbun supports many language pairs including Korean, English, Japanese, and more. Pick your language and your partner's language on the Interpret or Chat screen. See the in-app language picker for the full list.

Android phones and tablets, and iOS (iPhone and iPad). Download from Google Play or the App Store. Light/dark mode and adjustable font size are available.
